MIS was established in spring 1997 to deliver technical services to the Macintosh
community. Focusing on the small to medium sized organisations, principally in the
media arena that has always been the preserve of the Macintosh platform, MIS developed
a solid reputation for technical expertise in a market that was not well served
with IT support.
Aligning ourselves with the developing needs of our clients and the demand from wider
markets, we recognised that many business issues existed that were not necessarily best
served by a single technology platform. Consequently, while remaining advocates of the
Macintosh, MIS developed a strong, cross-platform expertise to meet this need; the
technical team is as well versed in Windows technologies as it is in Macintosh
technologies. Many businesses now run a mixed computing environment and MIS is uniquely
placed to deliver Apple and Microsoft technologies that interoperate effectively and
reliably to achieve business-critical solutions.

“We have championed the use of cross-platform technology to ensure the
best solution available for our customers is implemented - just copying current market
practice is not the MIS way.”
